The heavens weep in dismay

The hand that rocks the cradle, the hand that nurtures the womb, the hand that nurtures the whole world; what an irony for providence to nip this pulse in the bud!

Tragically enough, this remains the horrific irony of the unfortunate girl child, even in today’s supposedly futuristic and gender-neutral society.

It is an oft-seen clipping in all the nooks of media even today. Female infants are still being found abandoned in trash by the numbers, while unborn fetuses are still being sniffed in the womb, despite the outcry for gender equality and law enforcement. 

The society lends a harsh hand to the girl child, starting even before birth and continuing right till the end of life, riddled with discrimination and prejudiced by traditions.

The Save Girl Child Foundation brings the world to you, from the eyes of the girl child, protected in ink, yet cowering in the real world, aware of the dangers to her dignity, independence and outright survival!
